How to play Spotle Movies
- Type any movie and pick it from the dropdown.
- Read the tiles: green is an exact match, gold is close (for example a year within five), gray is no match.
- Use the clues to narrow down your next guess; you have ten in total.
- Two optional hints unlock after your fifth and eighth guesses, and the last 50 days can be replayed.
Tips
- Open with a well-known film that has a famous director and big cast to light up as many tiles as possible.
- A gold cast tile means the actor is in the answer in a different role size: follow their filmography.
- Box office and score are close within set ranges, so use them to rule out whole tiers of films.
