MapTapDaily Geography Game: Tap Five Places on a 3D Globe
MapTap names five places a day, mostly cities and sometimes historic events, and you tap where you think each one is on a 3D globe. Each tap scores up to 100 points by distance, the later rounds count double or triple, and a short story about each place appears when you finish. It's free to play in your browser, with five locations a day and no account needed. There is also an unlimited mode, so you can keep playing after the daily puzzle.

How to play MapTap
- Read the place name and spin the globe to find it.
- Tap where you think it is; the closer you are, the more of the 100 points you score.
- The five rounds are weighted 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, for a best possible total of 1,000.
- After the last round, read the short stories about each location and share your score.
Tips
- Rounds four and five are worth three times as much, so take your time on them.
- In the daily, a tap in the right country is guaranteed some points even if you are far from the exact spot.
- Zoom in before tapping: a few hundred kilometres makes a real difference to the score.
- Practice mode and Versus matches are good ways to sharpen your map sense.
